Discuss your age, symptoms, family history and previous results with the clinic. Ask which programme addresses your needs and whether any tests should be added or omitted. National screening eligibility should be checked separately.
Some examinations require fasting; others do not. Contact the clinic for instructions specific to your appointment. Colonoscopy also requires bowel preparation. Do not rely on a general online schedule for your procedure.
Do not change prescribed medicines on your own. Tell the clinic what you take, especially blood thinners and diabetes medicines, and obtain instructions before fasting or a procedure.
Sedation can affect judgement and coordination after the procedure. Arrange for someone to accompany you home and follow the clinic’s instructions about driving, work and recovery.
Timing depends on the examination. Some findings can be discussed earlier, while laboratory tests or tissue analysis take additional time. Confirm the expected timing and follow-up method before you leave.
Ask the clinic to check your insurance eligibility and the fees for your planned visit. If you need a certificate or report in a particular language, confirm whether it can be issued and whether a fee applies. Reimbursement depends on your insurer’s terms.
